TERRY
CHEETHAM TAKES AIM AT THE RACE OF CHAMPIONS DART
ASPHALT SERIES IN 2010
Epic
Ventures Motorsports Group (Syracuse, NY) confirmed
that all team resources will be focused on giving
driver Terry Cheetham (Sodus, NY) a chance to run the
entire RoC tour for the first time in his career. The
team has updated the former SST Series Troyer chassis,
plus with upgrades to Terry’s motor, they now have a
potent short track car that will see an occasional
guest driver at some of the ½ mile and larger tracks.
In addition, the former Hooker Motorsports Troyer
chassis is receiving a totally rebuilt Gail Clark
power plant.
This has
been part of a plan started in 2007 by team founder
Tom Fecteau who saw what Terry had accomplished with
his family run, but under-funded modified team. By
joining forces, Tom & Terry have been able to
acquire the equipment, manpower and additional
knowledge needed to tackle such a venture. The
team’s competitive 2009 efforts helped them learn
the rigors of traveling and showing up prepared for a
variety of challenges.
Terry has
earned a reputation as a skilled driver who has been
ever so close to major successes since coming on to
the modified scene in 2002. A fan favorite at Spencer
Speedway, Terry will extend his fan base throughout
New York State this year. With a veteran crew and a
two car stable, excitement is high as they ready for
their first test at the combined MRS – RoC show at
Albany-Saratoga on Sunday April 17th.
