2007 Race of Champions Announcement

The EpicVentures team will take on competitors from all around New York State plus some invaders from Pennsylvania and New Jersey at the "Steel Palace", Oswego Speedway, as part of the 57th running of the Sunoco Race of Champions. Plans are in place for the #5 and driver Terry Cheetham to participate in the test session on Thursday to get everything "dialed in" for Friday's 100 lap SST Modified Sportsman main event.

Team owner Tom Fecteau will not have his #50 in attendance as the decision was made to focus on putting together the best possible motor and chassis combination for Terry and the #5. The team understands the #50 could have been repaired from the big crash at Spencer Speedway, but that would not have allowed enough time to give Terry the best chance at victory.

Fellow SST driver and associate team member Jody London offered up his #89 to Tom, but again, the decision remains to put all team energy towards a win at the ROC.

In additional news, Super Six driver and team advisor, Kris Hillegeer, teamed up with car owner John Giglio to complete the rebuild of a Super Stock. Kris will make his rookie appearance at Oswego Speedway in the 75 lap Super Stock main event on Saturday. The Giglio mount is the former Luke Cino-Wilbur Hebing car which will be powered by a fresh Doug Cheetham/ TW Automotive/EpicVentures motor. Our team is excited about seeing Kris test his skills at the next level of racing and will be provide crew support on Saturday.

Also, remember to keep your calendars open for Saturday, October 6th at Wyoming County International Speedway for the Coca-Cola Fall Shootout. Jody London will be there to close out the year in the SST 75 lap special and we will be there honoring Jody's father, and our long time friend, as part of the 50 lap Super Stock "Dave London Memorial". EpicVentures will be participating in the "lucky 15" bonus lap money which will increase the overall purse to these fine racers.

Wish us well at Oswego and we hope to see you all very soon.
